Death Lane
A road combat game for the 512K CoCo 3, in the spirit of the 1983 arcade game Spy Hunter. All code and graphics are original. Run enemy cars off the road, spare the civilians, load oil, smoke and missiles from the weapons van, and keep your car on the asphalt.

Download and run
Mount the disk on a 512K CoCo 3 (floppy, CoCo SDC, DriveWire, MAME or XRoar) and type:
RUN"DEATHLN"
Press R for an RGB monitor or C for a composite TV. On an RGB monitor you can also start it directly with LOADM"DEATHLN":EXEC. The streamed soundtrack needs a CoCo SDC; without one you hear the engine note.

On the road
- Civilian cars (yellow, red, light blue, tan): don't hit them. Wrecking one stops your score for about 8 seconds.
- Switchblade (dark blue, black stripe): pulls alongside and rams you. Shoot it or shove it off the road for 500 points.
- Road Lord (dark red, armoured): bulletproof and shoves hard. Run it off the road for 750 points.
- Weapons van. About every 20 seconds a red-and-grey van comes down the road. Drive into the ramp at the back to load the next special weapon: oil slick (9 uses), smoke screen (9), then missiles (6). Missiles destroy anything, even the Road Lord.
- Stay on the asphalt. Driving onto the grass, into a fork's island, or off a bridge into the river wrecks your car.
- Spare cars. You start with 2 and earn another every 10,000 points.
Area 1 opens wide, narrows, sweeps, splits twice around grass islands, and finishes over a river on twin bridges.
Death Lane is an original Tequestafarian game. Inspired by Spy Hunter (Bally Midway, 1983); no arcade code or graphics are used.
